Welcome to River Oaks
River Oaks is a large and varied neighbourhood comprising many different styles of subdivisions developed from the 1980's through the 2000's with a few parcels on Dundas and Trafalgar still to be developed. There are more family oriented older areas of two storey homes on large lots plus areas of move up freehold townhouses, several smaller condo apartment buildings and small pockets of condominium townhouses. West of Neyagawa adjacent to the Sixteen Mile Creek valley are areas of upscale luxury homes and freehold townhomes. East of Sixth Line, north of Glenashton is the "new urbanism" Oak Park community of detached, semi, freehold and condo towns plus a significant supply of condo apartments. Styles in the Oak Park area copy from old downtown Toronto streetscapes, with adjacent areas featuring colonial style carriage houses with detached garages.
The River Oaks Community Centre on Sixth Line provides fitness, skating, family activity programming and an older adult centre. Residents of the community enjoy access to the Sixteen Mile Creek Trail. The private Rotherglen School has two campus sites in the community, on Neyagawa and on Sixth Line, both north of Upper Middle Road. The major shopping nucleus at Dundas and Trafalgar serves River Oaks and adjacent neighbourhoods.
North - South: Dundas St. to Upper Middle Rd. East - West: Trafalgar Rd to the Sixteen Mile Creek.
