Welcome to Longmoor
Longmoor is an older neighbourhood in southeast Burlington, characterised by winding streets, larger lots and the raised bungalow, bungalow, side split and backsplit homes popular in the late 1960's and 1970's when the area was developed. The lots are a fair size - typically 55 feet by 110 feet. There are pockets of newer freehold and condo townhouses and one lowrise apartment condo off Fairview.
It's a great location for commuting via the Appleby GO Station on Fairview east of Appleby Line. Nelson High School and the Nelson Recreation Centre and Park with pool and splash pad are at the core of the Longmoor neighbourhood. Much of the neighbourhood is in walking distance to the rejuvenated Appleby Village Mall. The Appleby Branch Library is located in the plaza at Fairview and Appleby Line. Plus the Centennial Multi-Use Path, for cycling, jogging, walking, runs diagonally through the neighbourhood all the way into downtown Burlington.
North - South: Q.E.W. to New Street. East - West: Appleby Line to Walkers Line.
