Welcome to Dynes
Dynes is a mature reasonably priced south Burlington neighbourhood, made up of a variety of detached two storey, back split, side split, raised bungalow and bungalow detached homes mainly dating from the late 1960`s and early 1970`s. The lots are comparatively large, with multiple car driveways and large mature trees. Dynes remains an affordable area to purchase a detached home for those willing to renovate and update. There is one large hi-rise condo apartment complex, The Empress, built in 1978 and located at Dynes and Prospect. As well, you will find a scattered number of older condo town complexes plus several newer condo townhomes on New Street. There are just a few freehold townhouses or semi-detached homes within the neighbourhood.
Burlington Mall, with over 100 stores and services is located in Dynes at the corner of Guelph Line and Fairview. Also, many popular services, stores and restaurants are to be found along the Fairview Street commercial corridor. On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, from May to October, the Burlington Mall Farmer's Market is in operation - a great destination for both family fun and foodstuffs. The Centennial Multi-Use Path, which stretches from Burloak Drive all the way to downtown, cuts through Dynes and link to several of the local parks - it is a great walking or biking resource for local residents.
