Welcome to College Park

College Park was developed from the 1950's through the end of the 1970's with pockets of later development for hi-rise rental apartments. The original subdivisions were primarily of bungalows on large lots, with later subdivisions of split level, back split and raised bungalow homes as these styles became popular, with several condo townhome projects and condo apartment properties developing in the 1970's. An area of luxury two storey family homes, called the Enclaves, is found at the north end adjacent to the Sixteen Mile Creek. A pocket of more modest two storey homes is located just north of Sheridan College.

Sheridan College, located on Trafalgar Road, is a well-known polytechnic offering a wide array of undergraduate and graduate diploma programs. Most household shopping will take place at plazas either south of the neighbourhood at Cornwall and Trafalgar or north at Dundas and Trafalgar, while the Oakville Place shopping centre at Trafalgar and Leighland serves a regional market. The White Oaks Indoor Pool and the Oakville Public Library's White Oaks Branch are part of the White Oaks Secondary School campus on McCraney St. E.  A private nine hole course, the Oakville Golf Club, is located on Sixth Line, adjacent to the Sixteen Mile Creek valley.
