Welcome to Aldershot
Aldershot neighbourhood stretches along the shoreline of Burlington Bay. This is one of the earliest established areas in Burlington, with Port Flamborough established on these shores in the 1850's. Today, this is a very diverse part of town characterised by winding streets and mature trees and made up of distinct areas: luxury estates with views to the Bay along North Shore Boulevard; prestigious homes surrounding the Burlington Golf and Country Club; mid priced homes closer to Plains Road and between King Road and the Q.E.W.; and less expensive homes north of Plains Road. Prices range from $ 2 Million by the lake to under $400,000. Freehold and Condominium townhome projects are found close to Plains Road and King Road.
The historic "Main Street" of Aldershot Village is Plains Road. The Aldershot BIA is working hard to improve and promote the area. A major focus for family fun is LaSalle Park and Marina, home to the Burlington Sailing and Boating Club, a 23 acre waterfront park on North Shore Boulevard, equipped with lots of amenities: two ball diamonds, boat launch ramp, marina, multi-use path, open area, parking, picnic area, playground, splash pad, wading pool, walking path, washrooms.
Aldershot is next door to the fantastic Royal Botanical Gardens, 2400 acres of both natural and cultivated landscapes and miles of walking trails plus amazing year-round nature oriented programs.
